The phone rings.  I am down the other end of the house.  My 6 year old answers.


Hello, who's speaking please?


No he's not here at the moment.


Meanwhile I am screaming at her to give me the phone.  Emma totally ignoring me and then I heard her say (obviously he asked if she could take a message)


Oh no,  I can't do that.... because I am a  CHILD  and then hangs up the phone.




Who knows what he thought,  probably thought here is a child home alone looking after herself!
